P\u016fvod t\u00e9to slavnosti sah\u00e1 a\u017e do konce 19. stolet\u00ed. V t\u00e9 dob\u011b byla v sadech v okol\u00ed Seefeldu bohat\u00e1 \u00faroda. M\u00edstn\u00ed peka\u0159i na oslavu \u00farody jablek spojili hojnost jablek s listov\u00fdm t\u011bstem a vytvo\u0159ili prvn\u00ed Apfelstrudel.
